Waldhaus Flims: Grand Hotel in the Swiss Alps becomes part of the Autograph Collection

The Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort in the Swiss Alps has recently joined Marriott’s Autograph Collection portfolio. Opened back in 1877 as an alpine summer spa hotel, the hotel jewel now presents itself at five-star superior level after a change of ownership and extensive renovation and has therefore also been a member of the “Leading Hotels of the World” since 2017.

The 107 rooms and suites are distributed between the Grand Hotel and the Villa Silvana – surrounded by the largest hotel park in the country with wide meadows, peaceful walking paths and a magnificent mountain panorama. The multi-award-winning “Waldhaus Spa” features a fitness studio, an indoor pool under an impressive glass cube, an outdoor pool and a bathing pond.

Cuisine from Italy, Thailand and Lebanon

The wide range of culinary options at the Waldhaus Flims extends from the Thai restaurant “Siam” to the Italian “Pomodoro” and the Lebanese “Fairöuz” to the gourmet temple “Epoca” by the top German chef Tristan Brandt, who has regional specialities served here in a modern glass dining room. For relaxed drinks, there is a whisky and cigar bar, a gin bar and an atmospheric wine cellar.

The Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort is only about an hour from Zurich and three hours from Munich. Open all year round, it is ideally suited as a starting point for outdoor activities – from skiing and snowboarding to golfing, hiking and mountain biking. The picturesque Lake Cauma, known for its healing properties, the Rhine Gorge and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sardona are also nearby.
