Anantara has acquired the prestigious The Marker Hotel, a member of Leading Hotels of the World in Dublin, Ireland. Following a comprehensive rebranding over the coming months, the five-star hotel in the emerging Docklands district will reopen next year as the group’s first European city hotel.
Behind the futuristic facade of The Marker Hotel Dublin are 187 rooms and suites, a multi-award winning spa with a 23-meter pool, a rooftop bar with 360-degree panoramic views, and the restaurant “La Brasserie”, recently refurbished by the restaurant Association of Ireland (RAI) was voted Best Hotel Restaurant in Dublin.
The former industrial district of Docklands is characterized today by a lively restaurant scene with extravagant cafes and gourmet restaurants as well as a variety of recreational opportunities. These include, for example, the nearby Grafton Street, boat trips on the River Liffey or in Dublin Bay, and the Croke Park Stadium – currently Ireland’s largest stadium and venue for typical Irish sports such as Gaelic Football.
