Premiere for Austria: Mandarin Oriental comes to Vienna for the first time

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the opening of the new Mandarin Oriental, Vienna. The first hotel of the brand in Austria is to start in 2023 in a listed Art Nouveau building in Vienna, which served as a commercial court from 1912 to 2003. 151 rooms and suites, 17 apartments, a restaurant, a bar, an outdoor area with garden and a spa with treatment rooms, indoor pool and fitness center are planned.

The location could hardly be better: The Mandarin Oriental, Vienna is located in a quiet street in the first district of Vienna within the Ringstrasse. The most important sights of the city – including St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Vienna State Opera – are just as easy to reach on foot as a variety of restaurants and trendy bars.

The owner of the property – the Brisen Group, based in Geneva – has already started the renovation work. During the restoration, care should be taken to preserve many of the original design elements of the building. After completion, the rooms and suites will be grouped around the large courtyard in the middle of the building.

The 17 residences are being built on the top two floors of the building with private access to the roof and are said to be among the most exclusive apartments in the city. Some will have terraces with breathtaking views. Your guests have direct access to the hotel facilities and can enjoy the legendary Mandarin Oriental service.
