Preferred Hotels & Resorts welcomes 18 new members around the world

Preferred Hotels & Resorts has added 18 new members to its global portfolio in recent months. A legendary hideaway in New England is among them as well as a new luxury hotel in New York and a special retreat on the Greek island of Santorini. We briefly present the most interesting new additions here. You will find all the others at the end of this article.

Chatham Bars Inn / USA: The legendary retreat is located directly on the sea on New England’s famous Cape Cod peninsula in the US state of Massachusetts and was built in 1914 as a hunting lodge with its own private beach. 217 New England-style rooms and suites – including twelve adults-only spa suites – are spread across 30 country-style buildings. Ingredients in the four restaurants are sourced from the accommodation’s eight-acre farm. Historic downtown Chatham is almost on the doorstep.

Hotel & Spa Mansion Solis by HOTSSON / Mexico: The modern all-suite hotel in Morelia’s UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of only 24 rooms and suites. It was once the residence of Michoacán singer-songwriter Marco Antonio Solís, which still resonates today with the guitar-shaped pool and intimate live music performances. Guests can enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine at the flagship restaurant – and sundowner cocktails with panoramic views of the picturesque city at the rooftop bar.

Pendry Manhattan West / USA: The first Pendry Hotel in New York will open this summer in the Hudson Yards in Manhattan. In addition to 134 rooms and 30 suites, a restaurant, lounge and open-air terrace bar are planned. In any case, the location of the Pendry Manhattan West between Madison Square Garden and the new 7 train station in Hudson Yards is ideal for visitors looking for a luxurious retreat after an eventful day in the “Big Apple”.

Hotel Diplomat / Sweden: In the centre of Stockholm, a true masterpiece of Art Nouveau architecture awaits you at the Hotel Diplomat. The 130 rooms and suites offer a modern interior with romantic Juliette balconies and a picturesque view of the harbour. An extensive art collection with works by renowned Swedish artists awaits guests. The restaurant serves traditional Swedish cuisine with Mediterranean influences. A relaxation area with sauna, showers, loungers, fitness centre and wellness treatments completes the facilities.

Andronis Arcadia / Greece: This stylish retreat is located on the edge of the village of Oia, known for its enchanting sunsets. There is a choice of 52 suites with private pool and sea views; and the “Eden Villa” with six bedrooms on three floors, spa, fitness centre, chef and two pools. Greek taverna-style specialities and ultra-fresh sushi are served in the two restaurants. A spa with infinity pool is also available.

• Lancaster Hotel / Houston / USA: Landmark in the heart of Houston’s theatre district with 93 rooms and suites and more than 100 Texas artworks
• Arte Hotel Lima / Peru: 56-room hotel inspired by the atmosphere of the nearby Costa Verde cliffs – perched on a cliff overlooking a local surf spot in the Pacific Ocean
• Live Aqua Beach Resort Punta Cana / Dominican Republic: Luxury resort on one of Punta Cana’s sandy beaches with 345 rooms and seven restaurants – just opened
• Palacio Provincial / San Juan / Puerto Rico: Historic building in the heart of the old town of San Juan with 43 rooms and suites, a restaurant in the courtyard and a rooftop pool terrace overlooking the bay
• ette hotel / Orlando / USA: The new 126-room family hotel and suites will open outside Walt Disney World in April 2021
• Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort / California / USA: All-inclusive 73-room resort on a 10,500-acre cattle ranch in the heart of Santa Barbara wine country
• Casa di Langa / Piemont / Italy: Sustainable luxury hotel with 39 rooms to open in spring 2021 in the northern Italian region of Piedmont – right next to the vineyards of Le Langhe
• The Lowry Hotel / Manchester / United Kingdom: Modern luxury hotel popular with celebrities and high-profile guests, with 165 rooms and suites, a gourmet restaurant, spa and views of the River Irwell
• Almar Jesolo Resort & SPA / Italy: Wellness hotel with 197 rooms and suites on the Italian Adriatic – perfect for beach days and excursions to Venice
• Suites del Lago / Menorca: Adults-only eco-refuge near Menorca’s most beautiful beaches with 91 suites, a heated thalasso pool and a Japanese-Menorcan restaurant – opening in May 2021
• Hacienda de Abajo / Canary Islands: Adults-only resort on the Canary Island of La Palma with only 32 rooms and suites – housed in the former main house of a 17th century plantation in the village of Tazacorte
• Hotel Metropolitan Premier Taipei / Taiwan: Hotel with 288 rooms and suites and several restaurants to open in summer 2021 in a central location in Taipei
