OKU Ibiza: Former “Casa Cook” returns as a five-star retreat

The new lifestyle brand OKU Hotels will open OKU Ibiza on 30 April 2021, its second location after OKU Kos, which was already launched in 2020. The former Casa Cook Ibiza is located on the edge of Cala Gracio with several beaches in the immediate vicinity and is intended to become the ideal starting point for immersing yourself in the island’s very special lifestyle. Those who prefer to stay at the hotel can enjoy the largest pool on Ibiza.

The minimalist design of the 189 rooms and suites was inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi. They are crowned by the 140-square-metre Signature Suite and a four-bedroom villa with its own pool. The spa with five treatment rooms combines ancient traditions with modern techniques. A gym with personal trainer and daily, free yoga classes in the yoga shala on the roof terrace round off the wellness concept of OKU Ibiza.

Japanese fusion cuisine and Sunday brunch with DJ

In the “OKU Restaurant”, Executive Chef Mark Vaessen serves an innovative Japanese fusion cuisine for intimate dining, ranging from Asian-inspired tapas and grilled meat and fish to vegetarian and vegan options. At the poolside “To Kima”, an all-day breakfast awaits, as well as lunch with Mediterranean dishes, à la carte meals and snacks. A juice bar provides freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. Sunday brunch with DJs and live music is the weekly highlight.

The bar next to the 50-metre pool is the perfect place for refreshing cocktails during the day and an aperitif or digestif in the evening – accompanied by DJ beats until the early hours. To keep things interesting during the day, the OKU team also offers a range of activities – such as private boat trips to Formentera and other nearby islands, and sunset kayaking trips.
