Nobu Hotel Warsaw: New design hotel opens in the Polish capital

Oscar winner Robert De Niro, Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa and entrepreneur Meir Teper are bringing their jointly developed Nobu concept to Warsaw for the first time: The new Nobu Hotel Warsaw has just opened in the heart of the Polish capital as the brand’s twelfth hotel worldwide. Of course there is also a Nobu restaurant.

The design hotel consists of a classic and a modern building. The classic part is an Art Deco house from the 1920s that used to house the Hotel Rialto. Its rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city skyline. The modern part is an architecturally exciting new building, which was designed by the Polish Medusa Group and the design office Studio PCH from California.

Chef Yannick Lohou, who has moved to Warsaw from the Nobu Hotel Barcelona, is responsible for the kitchen in the Nobu Restaurant and Nobu Café. The characteristic Japanese Nobu dishes with South American influences are served here – such as yellowtail mackerel with jalapeño or black cod with miso. In addition, there are also Polish-inspired dishes created with local products.

As in all Nobu Hotels, the 117 rooms and suites in Warsaw are characterized by a modern design with Japanese features. Modern Polish art from the Jankilevitsch collection is exhibited in the public areas. The wellness area on the top floor with a view of the city offers a sauna, a steam bath, a diving bath and a fitness room. The Nobu Hotel Warsaw can be found on Wilcza Street – surrounded by wine bars, designer shops, art galleries and restaurants. The old town can be reached quickly with a short walk.
