New Renaissance hotel with rooftop pool in Manhattan

One of the tallest rooftop pools in New York is the highlight of the new Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel, which opened a few days ago in one of the tallest hotel buildings in the Chelsea neighborhood. The more than 130 meter high building has 341 rooms and suites on 39 floors and offers wonderful views of the Manhattan skyline.

The first Marriott brand house in New York was built on the site of the former antiques garage. The design concept uses the contradiction between the industrial elements and the antique and flower markets in the area to create the illusion of a hidden garden.

For example, the top floor is adorned with a smooth, modern glass facade, while the entrance area is reminiscent of an English manor house. A brick archway leads guests into a private courtyard with lush greenery and seating. There are also exciting works of art – such as a massive installation made of old knobs, locks and keys in the lobby spanning two floors.

The “Cotto” restaurant with lounge and bar is scheduled to open in spring. Chef Fabrizio Facchini will serve newly interpreted Italian dishes here. Breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as brunch on weekends are available. In the lobby, the hotel invites you to the “Renaissance Bar Ritual” with free punch four times a week. The “Evenings at Renaissance” also includes weekly promotions and performances by local musicians and artists.

The Somewhere Nowhere lounge is on two levels and is slated to open later this year. Guests can access the indoor lounge on the 38th floor and the roof terrace with rooftop pool via a hidden connecting passage. The Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel is located on 112 W. 25th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue – just steps away from hotspots such as Chelsea Market and the High Line.
