New Hotel Opening

New hotspot in Abu Dhabi: Hilton opens luxury resort on Yas Island

The new Yas Bay leisure, business and entertainment centre on the southern tip of Yas Island in Abu Dhabi is slowly taking shape: Only a few weeks after the opening of the Etihad Arena with space for up to 18,000 spectators, the neighbouring Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island directly on the waterfront has now also welcomed its first guests in 486 rooms and 59 suites.

The resort is not really suitable for a beach holiday. But it does offer free access to the three theme parks on Yas Island that are close by – Yas Waterworld, Ferrari World and Warner Bros World. The Yas Marina Circuit Formula One circuit, CLYMB Abu Dhabi, Yas Links golf course and Yas Mall are also just minutes away.

EUR 2.7 billion for Yas Bay

In addition to four restaurants and bars, the Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island has a stunning outdoor pool with a man-made sand stand and a beach club, a spa and fitness centre, a kid’s club and a conference centre. Next to the hotel is also a covered pier where 19 shops and 37 restaurants and cafes await. Those who want to swim in the sea can reach Yas Beach in about three minutes by car.

Like pretty much everything that has been built on Yas Island so far, Yas Bay is also a project of the real estate developer Miral. According to media reports, the investment sum is EUR 2.7 billion. The Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island is the first of three Hilton hotels that Miral is building on Yas Island: A DoubleTree by Hilton and the Warner Bros Abu Dhabi as part of the Curio Collection by Hilton are also scheduled to open this year.
