ME Dubai: The masterpiece by Zaha Hadid opens on 01 March

The whole world has been waiting for this hotel icon – and now the time has come: ME Dubai has announced its soft opening for 01 March 2020. The masterpiece by star architect Zaha Hadid, who died in 2016, is located in the Opus by Omniyat building, which she also designed, in the heart of Downtown Dubai and completely reinvents the balance between futurism and security.

The Opus building consists of two 95-meter-high towers that connect to form a cube. At the same time, the hollowed-out interior provides an unexpected view. But it’s not just the exterior that is spectacular. The entire lobby, lounges and reception area are furnished with iconic furniture, either designed or selected by Zaha Hadid.

74 rooms, 19 suites and 98 avant-garde serviced apartments are spread over 19 floors. The absolute highlight is the ultra-luxurious “ME Suite”. The spa offers a variety of luxurious treatments for individuals or couples. A special “Aura Manager” with extensive insider knowledge of the city, its highlights and locations ensures a perfect Dubai experience.

There are three F&B stations open to guests and visitors – the “Central”, the pool bar “Refuel & Relax” and the “The Opus Studio”. In addition, there are 15 more restaurants and bars in the Opus building – including the ultra-modern Japanese Robatayaki restaurant “ROKA”. This concept only exists in five restaurants, all of which are based in London. It was launched in 2004 by the German-born Rainer Becker, who also founded the “ZUMA Restaurants”.

From 01 March, ME Dubai also wants to act as a platform for contemporary culture in the Middle East by combining music, art, design, fashion and food in exhibitions and events. The hotel’s initiatives for more sustainability include the drinking water filter systems from “No More Bottles” – a company from the Emirates. This means that all rooms can be equipped with pure, filtered water in glass bottles.
