Marriott expands all-inclusive portfolio by 19 resorts at once

Good news for all Marriott Bonvoy members who love to collect and redeem points: Through a long-term agreement with Blue Diamond Resorts – the hotel division of Sunwing Travel Group – Marriott International will expand its all-inclusive portfolio by no less than 19 franchise resorts with a total of almost 7,000 rooms in six countries.

The new additions are in the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America. Saint Lucia and Antigua are two new destinations where Marriott was not previously represented. Most of the resorts are expected to join the Autograph Collection in mid-2021.

Marriott launched its all-inclusive portfolio in August 2019 for eight of its 30 brands – The Ritz-Carlton, The Luxury Collection, Marriott Hotels, Westin Hotels, W Hotels, Autograph Collection, Tribute Portfolio and Delta Hotels. Nine resorts are currently bookable in Costa Rica, Barbados and Mexico. Another five in Mexico, Curacao, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Brazil are in preparation. This will bring Marriott’s all-inclusive segment to 33 properties by 2025.
