Mandarin Oriental announces strategic partnership with Oberoi

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced a long-term strategic partnership with the Oberoi Group. The alliance of the two hotel groups is intended to “encompass a range of joint activities and projects, without touching the tradition and identity of each brand,” according to a press release. New, exclusive arrangements” are also planned.

Probably the most welcome news: The most loyal guests of both brands are to form a special target group for the alliance. Members of the bonus programs “Fans of M.O.” and “Oberoi One” will therefore not only be received in the hotels of the other brand in accordance with their status, but will also receive exclusive offers and invitations to special events. Details have not yet been revealed, however.

In addition, the cooperation is also expected to lead to synergies in innovation and sustainability as well as in employee training and development. In total, the cooperation includes 50 hotels in the most attractive destinations around the world. Oberoi will thus be able to significantly expand its global reach, while Mandarin Oriental will primarily benefit from the Oberoi Group’s top hotels in India.
