Maldives: Atmosphere Kanifushi opens 40 new overwater villas

What the atmosphere Kanifushi had been missing in absolute luxury so far was villas over the water. That has now changed: As of now, guests of the five-star resort in the Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives have access to 40 brand-new overwater villas – twelve villas with a view of the island and the sunrise and 28 with a private pool and a view of the Sunset.

The new overwater villas at Atmosphere Kanifushi are equipped with high quality furniture, elaborate art and sophisticated technology. For example, the sliding door closes automatically as if by magic when the guest goes out on the terrace. A spacious bathroom borders the walk-in dressing room. Glass panes in the floor allow a direct view of the sea.

A 24-hour butler service takes care of all guests’ wishes – from making reservations in the restaurants to organizing snorkeling trips and booking spa treatments. Also new is the “Pier Six” restaurant over the water, which was designed in the form of a manta ray. The menu ranges from seafood to Japanese teppanyaki grill dishes.

The atmosphere Kanifushi is located on a two kilometer long island surrounded by a turquoise lagoon. Junior suites and beach villas with and without a private pool complement the new overwater villas. With the “Platinum Plus Plan”, guests enjoy an all-inclusive program that includes visits to the restaurants, all non-motorized water sports and various excursions. The resort can be reached in 30 minutes by seaplane from Malé International Airport.
