Luxury on St Barths: Eden Rock celebrates reopening

For two years, Eden Rock on the French Caribbean island of St Barths was closed after the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma. Now the famous luxury resort celebrates its reopening on 20 November. After a major refurbishment, the jewel of the Oetker Collection presents itself as beautifully as never before – and it should now also be able to defy the storms better.

All rooms and suites shine in new splendor – from the rooms with sea view above the “Sand Bar” over the suites “Jane”, “Pippa” and “Vogue” directly on the legendary rock to the three large villas “Rockstar”, ” Nina “and” Frangipani “on the beach, where more newly designed suites await, furniture and accessories from local workshops, antiques imported from Europe and the US, and the artworks selected by the” New York Academy of Art “.

In the kitchens of Eden Rock celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is inspired by his acclaimed New York restaurants ABC, ABCV and JoJo. The slightly expanded “Sand Bar Restaurant” now houses the new “Rémy Bar” – a homage to the first hotel owner, Rémy de Haenen, who opened the hotel in 1953.

In the lounge, guests have the opportunity to dine all day in a mix of relaxed beach style and British colonial character. If you want, you can enjoy a drink before or after in the exclusive “ER Beach Bar”. The brand new “Eden Spa”, located directly on the Rock of Eden Rock, offers treatments using the natural products of the local brand “Ligne St Barth”. The popular “Beach Spa Cabana” is also open to guests.
