The South American airline LATAM had already announced that it wanted to leave the oneworld alliance. This was initially expected in the second half of 2020, LATAM has now announced that it will leave the oneworld alliance at the turn of the month of April / May 2020. LATAM had recently tried to accelerate the exit.
No mutual status advantages will be granted between LATAM and Royal Air Maroc, which will join the oneworld alliance on 01 April.
