The IHG brand Kimpton opens its first luxury boutique hotel in France this spring: The Kimpton St Honoré Paris breathes new life into a historic building on the Boulevard des Capucines in the Opéra district of Paris, which once housed the popular luxury department stores’ “Samaritaine de Luxe”. The original Art Nouveau façade from 1917, the striking staircase and the unique lift are being carefully restored for this purpose.
Guests can expect 125 rooms and 24 suites, which are intended to be reminiscent of chic Parisian flats and some of which also have balconies or small terraces. Their elegant yet playful design comes from the famous French interior designer Charles Zana, who was inspired entirely by the Art Deco of the 1930s.
On the ground floor, a Californian patio restaurant combines light, sea-inspired recipes with American generosity. On the rooftop on the tenth floor, a terrace bar with 360-degree views of Paris invites guests to enjoy cocktails and snacks. An indoor pool, spa and gym are also part of the hotel’s facilities.
