Jumeirah takes over the legendary Capri Palace

The Jumeirah Group is expanding its portfolio of currently five properties in Europe to include a true icon of the Italian luxury hotel industry: The legendary “Capri Palace” on the island of Capri will re-open for the first time after the winter break on 23 April 2020 under the management of the Dubai-based hotel company , The concept has no  changes – and hotel director Ermanno Zanini keeps the house preserved.

Founded by Tonino Cacace in the style of an 18th-century palazzo in the 1960s, the Capri Palace, with its sublime position overlooking the sea, the outstanding restaurants and the Capri Beauty Farm, has become one of the most well-known established hotels in Europe. The art collection is also more than remarkable: it ranges from Mirò, Magritte and Warhol to the contemporary works of the “White Museum Collection”.

The “Capri Palace” culinary delights with a total of three Michelin stars: the restaurant “L’Olivo” has been awarded two stars for its Mediterranean cuisine and its extensive wine list – and the “Il Riccio” is the only beach club in the world got a star of the restaurant guide. Right on the coast, the best seafood on the island is served – all in front of the famous sea urchins, after which the “Il Riccio” is also named.

The “Capri Beauty Farm”, led by Professor Francesco Canonaco, offers a variety of special treatments such as the “Leg School” and the “Metabolic Response”, with which the Medical Spa has gained worldwide recognition. In total, the “Capri Palace” has 68 rooms and suites, in which a lot of white and blue spread a very special Mediterranean atmosphere in the style of a family private home.
