Hotel Atlantic Hamburg switches to “Autograph Collection” with new design

The Hotel Atlantic Hamburg has changed from Kempinski to Marriott’s “Autograph Collection” as of 13 January 2021. At the same time, Broermann Health & Heritage Hotels as owner has completed the extensive redesign of the five-star superior hotel on Hamburg’s Außenalster after more than three years.

Opened in May 1909 as a grand hotel for the First Class passengers of the famous HAPAG Hamburg-America Line, the establishment is still considered a meeting place for cosmopolitans today. The redesign was intended to interpret this tradition of a grand hotel for world travellers in a contemporary way, while preserving the unmistakable charm, the Hanseatic-maritime references and the original spirit of the house. The goal: a home in the world for all those who see travel as a lifestyle.

The new design of the lobby, reminiscent of the furnishings of the historic luxury liners, perfectly reflects this concept of the Hotel Atlantic Hamburg. The decorative artefacts in the “Atlantic Bar” also tell travel stories – from the Chinese vases to the English teapots and the side tables reminiscent of suitcases. It also fits in that the special accent of the bar menu is on spices, herbs and aromas from all over the world. Four steps lead to the cosy fireplace lounge with sofas and armchairs.

While the newly designed “Atlantic Restaurant” offers a stylish and modern feel-good ambience with international elegance, the light-flooded, also renovated “Alstersalon” as the breakfast restaurant of the Hotel Atlantic Hamburg conveys Hanseatic lifestyle and North German lightness. This impression also applies to the “Atlantic Grill & Health” with its maritime country house style and a gastronomic concept that focuses on conscious, creative and healthy enjoyment with a focus on the region. Motto: “Eat with friends”.
