Split receives a new boutique hotel that will not only delight architecture fans: The new Heritage Hotel FERMAI will open in May in a more than 100-year-old Art Nouveau building at the gates of the old town. From July, the Art Nouveau jewel on the Mediterranean will be the first Croatian hotel to become part of Accor’s “MGallery Collection” within the framework of a franchise agreement.
The masterpiece, completed in 1914, was designed by Croatian architect Petar Senjanović, who brought Art Nouveau to Split from Vienna at the time. During the extensive renovation, special attention was paid to the Art Nouveau elements still in their original state – from the majolica floors and wall tiles to the geometric carpentry and the stone staircase with its wrought-iron banister and wooden handrail.
The classic furnishings of the 31 rooms and four suites round off the overall picture with selected antiques and modern decorative pieces. The same applies to the restaurant and bar. The old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is only 400 metres away from the Heritage Hotel FERMAI. The popular Bacvice beach is also just a few minutes away. Room rates with breakfast start at EUR 152 to 182 per night, depending on the season. A room with a balcony can be booked from EUR 212 to 242.
