The new Hard Rock Hotel Madrid has just celebrated its opening with 161 rooms and suites. Thanks to its prime location in the “Golden Triangle of Art” in the Atocha district, the top museums Reina Sofia, Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza are within easy walking distance, as are the Royal Botanical Gardens and the charming Lavapies and Embajadores districts.
Colourful artworks – such as a hanging guitar sculpture above the lobby sofas – are complemented by a memorabilia collection of more than 70 pieces. Guests can admire an acoustic guitar by Madrid-born singer-songwriter Antonio Vega, a jeans outfit worn by Elvis Presley during an NBC TV special in 1968 and platform boots worn by David Bowie, among others.
Rooftop bar with cocktails, cheese, and DJ sets
The highlight of the culinary offer at the Hard Rock Hotel Madrid is the spectacular rooftop bar “RT60”. In addition to cocktails and a jamón and cheese station, guests here enjoy a 360-degree view over the rooftops of the city to the beat of live DJ sets. The “Sessions” restaurant with a terrace overlooking the garden serves classic Spanish cuisine, while the “GMT +1 Lobby Bar” offers drinks and light fare throughout the day.
The facilities are rounded off by an outdoor pool, a fitness centre and a “Rock Shop”. Among the experiences that are only available in a Hard Rock Hotel is the music programme “The Sound of Your Stay”, which allows guests to make music in the privacy of their room with a Fender electric guitar, headphones and an amplifier. An overnight stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Madrid can be booked from EUR 180 per room.
