Finnair opens new Business Class lounge in Helsinki

With the opening of a new Business Class Lounge, Finnair has completed the expansion of the lounge offer in the non-Schengen area at Helsinki Airport. The airline had already inaugurated the new “Platinum Wing Lounge” in June 2019. The new lounge complex now offers a total of 200 additional seats.

The aesthetics of the lounge mark the beginning of a new design language with which Finnair focuses entirely on Nordic simplicity, clear lines and natural materials. The furniture includes both modern and classic design pieces from renowned Nordic brands. In the entrance area there are, for example, the ball chairs by Eero Aarnio.

The lounge is operated in cooperation with the Finnish food supplier Fazer, who uses a new open kitchen concept with his own dining area to prepare varied dishes with the taste of Norway. The menu consists of three main dishes with meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, six salads and a large selection of desserts.

At peak times, a new full-service bar offers an expanded range of beverages with premium alcohol and coffee specialties. Beverage stations are also spread across the entire lounge. For travelers with children there is a separate family area with games. The five shower suites with care products from the Swedish organic skin care brand L: a Bruket can be booked using a touchscreen system.

The new Business Class Lounge at Helsinki Airport is available to all Business Class passengers as well as members of Finnair Plus Gold and oneWorld Sapphire if the destination is outside Schengen and the flight is operated and marketed by a oneWorld airline. The lounge is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to midnight.
