Hotel Palace in Lucerne will be a Mandarin Oriental

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group acquires Hotel Palace Lucerne. The traditional hotel on the shores of Lake Lucerne, which was opened in 1906 and closed in October 2017, is currently undergoing extensive renovation by Chinese owner Yunfeng Gao and is expected to receive new guests at the end of 2020.

The renovation consists of the conversion of all rooms and suites, the redesign of the public areas, restaurants, and bars as well as the redesign of the entire outdoor area. The Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne will then have 146 rooms and suites overlooking the lake and mountains. In addition to a restaurant and bar, conference and meeting rooms, as well as a spa and fitness area, are planned.
