Falkensteiner opens new five-star hotel in South Tyrol – for adults only

In Pustertal in South Tyrol, Falkensteiner has opened a new five-star hotel for adults only on 17 December 2020. The Falkensteiner Hotel Kronplatz was designed by star architect Matteo Thun and is located directly opposite the cable car valley station. Inspired by the four seasons, four building blocks were created that house a total of 97 rooms and suites in an alpine-modern design.

According to the motto “From mountain friends for mountain friends”, the new Falkensteiner hotel wants to offer unique sports experiences and culinary summit delights all year round in one of the most beautiful corners of South Tyrol. An experience concierge organises tailor-made tours to suit every season – from ski safaris in winter to paragliding in summer. Recommended excursion destinations in the surrounding area include the Lumen Mountain Photography Museum, the Messner Mountain Museums and the small town of Bruneck.

The common thread of all-year-roundness is also reflected in the “Acquapura Mountain SPA”. Here, the power of the four mountain elements of the Dolomites – rock, spring water, mountain sun, and mountain air – is used in individually tailored spa treatments to recharge your batteries. From the rooftop pool, guests enjoy the dreamlike view of the Kronplatz and even in the Finnish outdoor sauna they are surrounded by the South Tyrolean mountains.

The “7Summit Slow Food Cuisine” rounds off the concept of the house on the plate. It combines the innovative cuisine of South Tyrol by chef Reinhard Daverda with flavours from the countries with the highest mountains. International guest chefs regularly come to the Falkensteiner hotel for this. The first palate journey in the “7Summit Restaurant” now leads to Japan, when the team from the trendy Viennese restaurant “Mochi” brings its culinary mountain interpretation to South Tyrol.
