Exclusive desert glamping with Anantara in the south of Oman

Luxury in the south of Oman: The guests of the Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara can now enjoy an exclusive desert glamping as they embark on a journey of discovery with Oman Expeditions. The new “Mobile Luxe Camping Adventure” takes you on the ancient incense trade routes along the Dhofar Mountains to the Rub al-Chali Desert – the world’s largest sandy desert.

Guests spend the night in a luxurious camp in the desert or on a secluded beach. Each tent has a bathroom with sky-opening showers, a comfortable bed, cotton sheets, Arabic rugs, oil lamps and candles. In the evening, the chefs will spoil you with traditional Oriental or North African and Mediterranean cuisine prepared with local ingredients and served under the stars.

Surrounded by tropical gardens between a private beach and a freshwater lagoon, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara is the first and only luxury resort with pool villas in Salalah. There are a total of 40 rooms and 96 villas to choose from, with Beach Pool Villas being particularly popular with their private, 20-square-meter pool and direct beach access.

The restaurant “Sakalan” offers all-day dining with live cuisine, buffet and international specialties. The “Mekong” serves fine Asian cuisine from Thailand, China, Vietnam and Laos, while “Al Mina” offers Mediterranean dishes by the sea and a hookah bar. The “Anantara Spa” with hammam and Razul treatment rooms, a fitness center and a tempered infinity pool complete the facilities.

The desert glamping of the Anantara Hotel in southern Oman is valid until April and again from the end of September. The duration is variable: Each guest decides individually, how many nights he would like to spend in the hotel and during glamping. One night for two people is available in a One Bedroom Garden View Pool Villa of the hotel inclusive half board from about EUR 1,050 and a night in the desert with all inclusive service from about EUR 2,240.
