After initially being a little less accommodating, Emirates has now made an amendment to the goodwill arrangements for existing status customers due to the ongoing corona crisis: If your Emirates Skywards status expires between September 2020 and August 2021, it will automatically be extended by 12 months on the expiration date. Your new re-qualification period will then be within the 12-month grace period.
