“Time for freedom” is the motto of the Cora Cora Maldives, which launches on 1 October 2021 in the Raa Atoll of the Maldives. Just dance in the tropical rain, start the day with a cocktail or enjoy a midnight picnic on the beach: In this new five-star resort on the formerly inhabited island of Raa Maamigli, whatever you like is allowed.
The premium all-inclusive concept also ensures total freedom: all meals and drinks as well as various excursions and activities are included in the price. The menus of the four restaurants range from Japan to Italy to the Orient, but also take into account current culinary trends such as superfoods, vegan and gluten-free dishes.
100 villas on the beach and over the water
In total, Cora Cora Maldives offers a choice of 100 beachfront and overwater villas – many with private pools. A spa invites you to unwind with a wide range of treatments, while the water sports centre offers exciting dives, snorkelling rounds, romantic sunset boat trips and excursions to local islands.
Historical museum and art gallery
In addition, the Cora Cora Maldives scores with a cultural offer that is unique for the Maldives: the Raa Maamigili Ethnological Museum provides a fascinating insight into the original culture of the island nation. The more than 400 artefacts include a 120-year-old furnished wooden house, a 900-year-old bath from the pre-Islamic period and the remains of a cemetery from the golden age of Islam.
Guests can also admire changing contemporary exhibitions by local newcomers and international artists in the only licensed art gallery outside Male. From Male airport, Cora Cora Maldives is accessible either by seaplane or a domestic flight to Dharavandhoo and a 20-minute speedboat ride. Bookings are not possible at the moment.
