Cocktail with a view: the spectacular “hilltop” at Six Senses Yao Noi

There are very few luxury resorts in Southeast Asia where breakfast, dinner or cocktails can be enjoyed against such a spectacular backdrop: after a four-month renovation, Six Senses Yao Noi near Phuket has reopened the newly designed “hilltop”. High above the resort there is an incomparably beautiful view of Phang Nga Bay, which you will probably never forget.

In the new restaurant “The Tasting Room” only local, sustainably produced products are served. At the infinity pool, guests can enjoy salads and grilled specialties. For sundowners, the bar offers various tapas, cocktails and herbal drinks. A chill-out lounge, lounge beds and a new suspension bridge complete the furnishings in the very special style of Six Senses.

The “hilltop” was designed as a tribute to the hornbill – a rare bird that is native to Yao Noi. From wood and bamboo elements to egg-shaped pillows and lamps to eggshell-colored fabric upholstery at the bar, the illusion of a bird’s nest perched high in the tree tops was created. Not only Instagram fans will be amazed by this.

The Six Senses Yao Noi is located on an island in Phang Nga Bay – not far from Phuket. The 56 villas, which face the bay or the jungle, are all on stilts. Each of the villas has a private pool. Natural materials, modern architecture and selected details underline the Six Senses philosophy of combining exceptional holiday experiences with sustainability.
