New Hotel Opening

Capella Hanoi: A wonderful boutique hotel in the capital of Vietnam

Even if travelling to Vietnam is not possible at the moment – you should still put the just-opened Capella Hanoi on your bucket list. The wonderful boutique hotel is only a few steps away from the famous Hanoi Opera House and was already a popular meeting place for opera singers, composers and artists in French colonial times as a “petite auberge”.

Star architect Bill Bensley, who already designed the unique Capella Ubud in Bali, was therefore completely inspired by the opera world when designing the Capella Hanoi. The 47 rooms and suites, ranging in size from 35 to 194 square metres, are individually furnished with original opera artefacts and adorned with custom-made portraits. To top it off, four “Opera Suites” open onto spacious terraces.

Restaurant with opera backdrop and a “Diva’s Lounge”

The restaurant “Backstage” also offers a dramatic opera backdrop of theatre costumes and vintage tableware. Vegan dishes and North Vietnamese-inspired specialities land on the tables, combining products from the region and modern cooking techniques. The “Diva’s Lounge” in turn pays tribute to the leading ladies of the 1920s with Bohemian cocktails and “Opera Punches” – accompanied by small bites.

Capella Hanoi is located in the prestigious, French-influenced Hoan Kiem district right in the Old Quarter – surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops and markets and very close to the most important sights of the Vietnamese metropolis. Like all Capella Hotels and Resorts, it belongs to the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA). Prices start at the equivalent of EUR 210 per room and night.
