Brand change on the Maldives: Jumeira Vittaveli becomes Ozen Reserve Bolifushi

Jumeira Vittaveli made headlines worldwide with the first ice rink in the Maldives. But the name is already history: On the 3rd of December 2020, the popular luxury resort will reopen as the “Ozen Reserve Bolifushi” of Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts and will in future form “The Ozen Collection” together with Ozen Maadhoo, which was launched in 2016.

All 90 pool villas above the water and on the beach have been completely renovated and equipped with walk-in closets, glazed and air-conditioned bathrooms and exotic outdoor bathtubs. Also new is the “Hiyani”, which means “shade” in the Maldivian official language Dhivehi: During the whole stay a butler is at the guests’ disposal, who follows them like a shadow.

Ocean Pool Suites with Water Slide

The most popular accommodations will continue to be the nine “Ocean Pool Suites” and seven “Private Ocean Reserves”. They have long outdoor slides that begin on the top floor and end directly into the lagoon. Absolute luxury is promised by the “Sunset Earth Pool Reserves”, the “Private Ocean Reserves” and the 3,500 square meter “Royal Reserves” with elegantly designed outdoor areas made of marble and wood.

The culinary variety in the four restaurants of the Ozen Reserve Bolifushi ranges from international specialties to authentic Arabic cuisine and finest fish dishes to Indian creations. The wine cellar holds 350 of the finest wines from the old and new world – a mecca for gourmets who want to experience a very special dinner. Cigars and cognacs are waiting in the two bars – and of course the guests do not have to do without the classic high tea.

All-Inclusive Package “Reserve Plan

The “Elena Spa” offers beauty, wellness and Ayurveda treatments with products of international luxury brands – complemented by a whirlpool, various saunas, a fitness center and a yoga pavilion above the water. The resort’s own PADI diving center takes guests on exciting excursions to the surrounding shipwrecks and the reef surrounding the resort. Snorkelling, windsurfing, SUP and motorized water sports activities complete the leisure offer.

With the Ozen Reserve Bolifushi all-inclusive package – the so-called “Reserve Plan” – there are no hidden costs or additional fees for the guest. The island of Bolifushi, which is only 750 meters long and a maximum of 100 meters wide, is located in the South Malé Atoll and can be reached in about 20 minutes by speedboat from Malé International Airport.
