New Hotel Opening

Angsana Corfu: New luxury resort of the Banyan Tree Group opens in June

The opening date for the first luxury resort of the Banyan Tree Group in Europe has been set: the already eagerly awaited Angsana Corfu Resort & Spa will welcome its first guests on 15 June. On a hill near the village of Benitses on the east coast of the Greek island of Corfu, 94 rooms, 65 suites and 37 pool villas ranging in size from 94 to 327 square metres await.

Among the three restaurants, “Botrini’s” by the Corfiot-Italian master chef Ettore Botrini, who has already been awarded a Michelin star in his “Botrini’s” in Athens, stands out. Trendy Asian fusion cuisine is served at “Koh”, international dishes await at “Ruen Romsai” and Corfiot specialities, fresh fish and local wines at the modern “Sofrito” taverna.

Private beach and spectacular infinity pool

The Angsana Spa has eleven treatment rooms with sea views and a 25-metre indoor pool. Local ingredients combine here with the brand’s Asian origins. A private beach with a range of water sports activities, a spectacular infinity pool, a second heated indoor pool, a gym and a yoga pavilion complete the facilities at Angsana Corfu.

In addition to Banyan Tree’s signature “Rangers’ Club” for the children, a wide variety of activities are available on the island – for example, a visit to Empress Sisi’s Achilleion Palace, speedboat excursions, olive oil tastings, ceramics and soap workshops, or standup paddling on the pristine Lake Korission. The Angsana Corfu is only eleven kilometres from the old town of Corfu and will be open all year round.
