Aman takes over a hotel jewel in the Italian Dolomites

The Rosa Alpina Hotel & Spa in San Cassiano in Alta Badia becomes the second Aman brand hotel in Italy after Aman Venice. The boutique hotel in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site of the Dolomites, which has been managed by the Pizzinini family for three generations, may not look like it at first glance, but with its unpretentious nature and natural flair it fits in well with a luxury brand like Aman.
In winter, the Rosa Alpina Hotel with its 52 rooms and suites opens up access to more than 1,200 kilometers of slopes in the Dolomiti Superski region – and in summer and autumn the spectacular mountain landscape can be explored on foot, by bike or by climbing steep rock faces.
Indoors, the restaurant “St. Hubertus”, crowned with three Michelin stars, invites you to enjoy a pleasurable excursion through the variety of Italian cuisine. Executive Chef Norbert Niederkofler will remain loyal to the house – after all, he has also been advising the kitchen of Aman Venice since 2019. Last but not least, the hotel offers a spa, a hamam, a pool and a fitness room.
In a first step, Aman will be responsible for marketing and operations on site over the next 18 months and will gradually develop the Rosa Alpina Hotel during this time. “Host” Hugo Pizzinini will continue to act as Managing Director. In December 2022 the hotel will welcome its guests for the first time as “Aman Rosa Alpina” in the Dolomites. In the coming winter season the Rosa Alpina will be open from the 11th of December 2020 until the 5th of April 2021.
