Aman New York celebrates its opening in the heart of Manhattan in spring 2021

At one of the city’s finest addresses – the Crown Building in Manhattan – the new Aman New York will open its doors for the first time in spring 2021. The luxury hotel’s launch thus coincides exactly with the 100th anniversary of the legendary building on Fifth Avenue. The name “Aman,” derived from Sanskrit, is nevertheless intended to promise a place of peace and tranquility – even right in the heart of New York.

The Aman New York will have 83 rooms and suites that cover at least 70 square meters and are all equipped with a private fireplace. Most also offer generous terraces – most notably the five-story penthouse. The design bears the signature of renowned Denniston architect Jean-Michel Gathy, who skillfully blends the New York lifestyle with the Aman brand’s Asian roots.

Restaurants and bars

The signature restaurant “Nama” serves exquisite sushi and sashimi creations – both at the live cooking counter and on the open-air terrace. Next door, “The Wine Library” – Aman New York’s in-house wine cellar – welcomes guests for private wine tastings and closed events.

At the all-day Italian restaurant “Arva,” guests dine in the airy ambiance of the interior or on the garden terrace overlooking Central Park. Last but not least, “The Bar” is set to establish itself as a permanent fixture on the New York scene. Special cocktails, selected craft beers and gin varieties, and an international selection of the finest wines, including a cigar bar, are available for this purpose.

Wellness in the “Aman Spa”

The 2,300-square-meter “Aman Spa” will extend over three floors. Guests can look forward to seven treatment rooms and two spa houses with banya, hammam, a private oasis of tranquility under the open sky and a refreshment pool. Other spa highlights include a fitness center, a 20-meter indoor pool, a yoga studio, and a hydrotherapy facility with sauna, steam baths, ice fountains, and multi-sensory showers.

Those who want to stay permanently at Aman New York can purchase one of the 22 residences. Half of them were already sold during the construction phase. Many captivate with spacious terraces and heated pools. Owners can easily access the “Aman Spa” via a private entrance. Also included is a lifetime membership in the “Aman Club”.
