Turkish Airline has announced that from the 1st of January 2021, there will be a charge for seat selection on Economy Class flights before online check-in opens (26 hours prior to departure). From 26 hours before departure, seat selection will continue to be free of charge.
Excluded from the new rule are Miles&Smiles Elite and Elite+ members, but not Star Alliance GOLD members. Depending on the route and seat, prices for early seat selection range from USD 9 to USD 109.
