W Hotels takes over Yas Viceroy in Abu Dhabi

W Hotels has taken over the Yas Viceroy Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Opened in 2009 as “Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi”, the luxury hotel with its spectacular architecture right on the Yas Marina Circuit is best known to Formula 1 fans in particular. The Marriott lifestyle brand will in the future be the only hotel in the world that is located on a Grand Prix racetrack to be called “W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island”.

Bedouin tents, large columns, reception tables in the form of oil drops and seating that reminds of the local mangroves are now featured in the newly designed lobby. The 499 rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the race track or the yachts in the Yas Marina.

The new EWOW Suite offers ultimate luxury: on 409 square meters, which extend over two floors, there is a traditional presidential suite with a private pool, a sauna and a 180-degree view of Yas Island. Guests also enjoy a similar view from the pool of the WET deck on the roof of W Abu Dhabi – of course with a drink in hand and a live DJ performance.

There are five food concepts to choose from in the unique “Garage”: Pasta and dumplings are served in the “Steam Table”, Peruvian-Japanese dishes are served in the “Nikkei House”, Lebanese mezze in the “Mezza Bar”, in the ” Meat Vault “grill specialties and unusual tarts in the“ Tart Van ”. The Italian restaurant “Amici” and the Indian “Angar” complete the culinary offer.

In the evening, hot beats fill the W Lounge, in which various beverage stations each focus on a characteristic drink and a menu. Guests and locals can look forward to an entertainment program with DJs and live music. The W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island is only 15 minutes away from the airport. In addition to the Yas Marina Circuit and Yas Marina, Ferrari World, Warner Brothers Studios and the Yas Mall are also nearby.
