USD 1 million for four nights at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo

It is no problem for billionaires to afford a private island. With the exclusive “You Run Raffles Maldives” offer, millionaires now have a chance: For “only” one million US dollars, they can have the Raffles Maldives Meradhoo, which opened in May 2019, for four nights exclusively for themselves and up to 70 friends, acquaintances or business partners.

The luxury hideaway is located in one of the most unspoilt corners of the Maldives. An 80-minute boat ride is enough to reach it. With “You Run Raffles Maldives”, arrival and departure is included anyway: In a private charter flight it goes from Male or Gaan to Kooddoo Airport in Gaafu Alifu Atoll.

There the group has the Raffles Maldives Meradhoo all to itself – the 21 spacious villas on the white sand beach of the main island as well as the villas of the overwater retreat built over the ocean. The legendary Raffles service with private butlers ensures that nothing is left to be desired. Guests also have access to a nearby desert island where they can feel like Robinson Crusoe or watch the stars with champagne and a professional astronomer.

The kitchen team at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo provides exclusive gourmet experiences – such as sushi and pisco sours in the elegant Nikkei restaurant “Yuzu” or a dinner with beef sirloin and chimichurri with torch lighting in the grill restaurant “The Firepit” on the beach. At sunset, the “Long Bar” beckons with the “Maldives Sling” – an exquisite mixture of gin, coconut, cinnamon and cloves.

Wellness lovers will get their money’s worth in the “Raffles Spa”. Guests are also invited to practice any number of water sports and to use the resort’s yacht. Boat trips for dolphin watching, fishing or diving are also possible – of course including cocktails and canapés on board. The unique underwater world can be explored on snorkeling tours to one of the resort’s two house reefs.

Last but not least, “You Run Raffles Maldives” will also help to protect the precious ecosystem around the Raffles Maldives Meradhoo over the next few years: Five percent of the buyout rate will go equally to the Maldives’ Marine Center and the Olive Ridley Project – an NGO for the protection of sea turtles. If the 70 guests share the cost of the four nights, they don’t have to be millionaires. Because then, out of a million, “only” just under USD 14,300 per person …
