Hotel Opening

Unique “Guitar Hotel” opened in Florida

In Greater Fort Lauderdale, holidaymakers can now stay in a hotel shaped like a gigantic 137-meter-high guitar. The new “Guitar Hotel” in southeast Florida was created as part of a USD 1.5 billion renovation and expansion of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, which now has more than 800 rooms and suites – 638 in the Guitar and 168 in the Oasis Tower.

The Hard Rock Hotel is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida and is located in Native American tribal territory. After the conversion, the casino area has almost doubled in area and now offers more than 3,000 slot machines, about 200 table games and a poker room with 45 tables. New are a lagoon and a man-made sandy beach, an entertainment venue that can accommodate up to 7,000 people and a 3,900-square-foot spa.

In addition, there are numerous shops, a night club and a day club, as well as 19 restaurants and 20 bars ranging from “Council Oak Steaks & Seafood” to the Japanese “Kuro”, the grill restaurant “Abiaka” and the Italian-American “Cipresso” to the “Beach Club Bar & Grill” with burgers and tropical cocktails. Even in the dark, the new “Guitar Hotel” in Florida is an attraction: Six beams of light represent the strings of an imaginary guitar neck and tower up to six kilometers into the sky.
