Hotel Reopening

The Woodward Geneva: Oetker Collection opens its tenth “Masterpiece Hotel”

With The Woodward Geneva, the Oetker Collection will open its tenth “Masterpiece Hotel” in the spring of 2021 in Geneva. The former bank building was built in 1901 on Quai Wilson directly on the shore of Lake Geneva and offers a spectacular panoramic view as far as Mont Blanc. It is currently being renovated and redesigned by the famous architect Pierre Yves Rochon.

Behind the historic façade of The Woodward Geneva, guests will find only 26 suites. Each suite has its own character with individual details such as bookcases and marble fireplaces. The highlights of the hotel are the Presidential Suite with its loggia and the Royal Suite, which has a private elevator and is modelled on the style of a luxury Parisian apartment.

Two restaurant concepts designed by Michelin star chefs Joël Robuchon and Alain Verzeroli – the “Atelier de Joël Robuchon” and the “Le Jardinier” – will provide world-class culinary experiences. For the culinary management Olivier Jean was brought to Geneva after seven years as Executive Chef of “L’ Atelier” in Taipei. The Woodward Geneva also boasts two bars, a tea room and a private digestif lounge, which continues the history of the building by redesigning a former vault.

The hotel’s 1,200 square meter spa includes a Maison Guerlain wellness paradise and a stunning indoor pool – at 21 meters, the longest in Geneva. Guests can enjoy exclusive Guerlain treatments in six wellness suites, including one for couples and one for men. A modern gym, two saunas, two steam baths, two Swedish baths and a Jacuzzi complete the facilities.
