The Ritz-Carlton Pune: Luxury in the “Oxford of the East”

The luxury brand The Ritz-Carlton has opened its second hotel in India: The Ritz-Carlton, Pune is located in the heart of downtown Pune opposite the renowned Poona Golf Club. The almost 1,600-year-old metropolis – around 160 kilometers southeast of Mumbai – is considered the country’s science center and is often referred to as the “Oxford of the East”. With its carefully landscaped gardens, renowned museums and diverse culinary scene, Pune is also increasingly attracting tourists from all over the world.

The Ritz-Carlton, Pune has 198 rooms and 35 suites, including an almost 300 square meter presidential suite – the largest in the city. Guests on the club floor have access to the “Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge” on the 18th floor with a view of the golf course, private check-in, their own club concierge and a variety of culinary presentations that are spread throughout the day.

Gourmet world cuisine is served in the “Three Kitchens & Bar”. A long sushi counter, a robata grill and an extensive selection of sake await you in the modern Japanese restaurant “Ukiyo”, while the “Ritz-Carlton Tea Lounge” celebrates the time-honored tradition of afternoon tea.

At the “golden hour” in the evening, guests can enjoy the view of the skyline in the “Aasma” rooftop lounge with Indian cuisine or a cocktail. The more than 2,300 square meter wellness floor includes a fitness studio, a yoga deck and the “Ritz-Carlton Spa” with unique treatments based on Ayurvedic traditions and chakra energies.
