Hotel Reopening

The first Hyatt Hotel in Cape Town opens in December this year

Hyatt will also be represented in Cape Town in the future: The Hilton Cape Town City Centre, which was only closed in July, is scheduled to reopen as Hyatt Regency Cape Town in December of this year. The location in the heart of the city is perfect – at the foot of the Signal Hill viewpoint and in the immediate vicinity of the historic Bo Kaap district with its colorfully painted houses.

Built in 2010, the hotel building comprises 122 rooms and 15 suites on eight floors, some of which offer a magnificent view of the Table Mountain. Three restaurants and bars, a fitness area and an outdoor pool with a small but beautiful terrace complete the facilities. The Hyatt Regency Cape Town offers business travelers around 400 square meters of conference space and a business lounge. The V&A Waterfront is only three kilometers away and can be reached quickly by cab.

Southern Africa is an important growth market for the Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Although the Hyatt Regency Cape Town is only the eighth Hyatt Hotel in Africa, but the fourth of the “Hyatt Regency” brand – after Johannesburg, Dar es Salaam and Addis Ababa. Two further openings are planned over the next three years with the Hyatt Regency Nairobi and the Hyatt Regency Lagos Ikeja in Nigeria.
