Sydney: New Crowne Plaza with Rooftop Pool Opens in Darling Harbour

After a break of more than ten years, IHG’s Crowne Plaza brand has returned to Sydney´s popular Darling Harbour business district: the just-opened Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour is 13 stories high and features 152 rooms and suites in a contemporary design. The absolute highlight is the heated infinity pool on the 13th floor with a magnificent view over the city.

All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and are divided into four areas – a desk for working, a sofa for relaxing, king-size beds for a good night’s rest, and spacious bathrooms. USB ports and wireless charging stations are provided, as are Bluetooth speakers and Chromecast TVs. In addition, IHG’s “Sleep Advantage” program boasts plush bedding, pillow menus and aromatherapy sprays.

A new take on the traditional hotel lobby, the “Plaza Workspace” is designed to provide an inspiring environment where hotel guests and locals can work, enjoy a coffee or meet with friends and business associates. A fitness center and three restaurants round out the hotel’s amenities. Darling Harbour is just a three-minute walk away and Pitt Street Mall is five minutes away.
