Renovation postponed: Seychelles resort Fregate Island will remain open until 2022

The luxurious private island of Fregate Island in the Seychelles remains open longer than planned. Since many travelers have not been able to start their stay due to the Corona restrictions, they are now booking for the second half of 2020 and increasingly for 2021. Due to the high demand, the resort has therefore decided to postpone the modernization plans until the end of the holiday season in January 2022 to receive guests.

Fregate Island is a 720-hectare natural paradise far from mass tourism with only 17 villas, but seven lonely beaches, one of which is even one of the most beautiful in the world: Anse Victorin is located in the northwest of the island, very close to the resort. Guests can even rent a small beach called Anse Macquereau all to themselves.

The Fregate Island Private Resort has therefore been an insider tip for celebrities since its opening – but above all as a showcase project for environmentally conscious luxury tourism. A dedicated conservation team takes care of flora and fauna, realizes species conservation projects, strictly organically manages the island’s own garden and also takes care of the 3,500 giant Aldabra turtles that live here. The private island is 55 kilometers east of Mahé and can be reached by helicopter or boat.
