Since 2019 the Raffles Maldives Meradhoo welcomes its guests in the unspoiled atoll Gaafu Alifu at the southernmost point of the Maldives with only 37 pool villas on the beach and above the lagoon. The heart of the “Raffles Royal Residence” is the 40-meter pool overlooking the private beach. With a bar stocked with rare spirits and fine cigars, the roof terrace is perfect for evening sundowners. In fact, guests do not have to leave this retreat during their entire stay: Breakfast, dinner, spa treatments and childcare can be arranged directly on the property.
The Raffles Maldives Meradhoo is only an 80-minute boat ride from the equator. In addition to 21 beach villas with private pools, the luxurious hideaway also includes 16 pool villas above the water, which can be reached by boat from the main island in a few minutes. The culinary offer ranges from fresh seafood in the restaurant “Thari” directly on the beach to grilled specialties in “The Firepit” and Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine in “Yuzu”.
The “Yapa Sunset Bar” offers tapas, fresh sashimi and cocktails directly above the water, while the “Raffles Long Bar” serves the unique “Maldives Sling” in homage to Raffles Singapore. Like the Raffles Spa, the fitness center hovers over the sea. Furthermore, the Gaafu Atoll is considered one of the deepest, most untouched and clearest atolls in the world and is therefore a paradise for divers and those who want to become one.
