Patina Maldives: New lifestyle resort with revolutionary design

With the Patina Hotels & Resorts, the Capella Hotel Group has launched a new lifestyle brand. The target group are “progressive travelers of a new generation”. The first project is to open the Patina Maldives, Fari Islands in the Maldives towards the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021. Additional resorts are planned in Ubud on Bali and on the Chinese island of Sanya.

The revolutionary design for the Patina Maldives comes from the Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan, who has combined a forward-looking design with personal flair and an individual touch. His goal: guests should always have the choice between privacy and community in a lively social center.

It can be found in the 20 studios and 90 villas on the beach and over the water, all of which have their own pools and one to three bedrooms. The Fari Marina, on the other hand, is supposed to be communicative, with a beach club, charming boutiques and excellent restaurants.

The Fari Islands archipelago consists of four islands in the Maldives’ North Male Atoll – around 50 minutes by speedboat from Male Airport. The Capella Hotel Group, founded by Horst Schulze, is headquartered in Singapore and operates houses in Düsseldorf, Shanghai, Singapore, Bali and Sanya under the “Capella Hotels & Resorts” brand. The Capella Ubud, Bali has just been named the best hotel in the world at Travel + Leisure’s “World’s Best Awards 2020”.
