Opening in Amsterdam: Anantara comes to the Netherlands for the first time

The Asian luxury hotel group Anantara continues its expansion in Europe with its first location in the Netherlands: The current NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in the heart of Amsterdam will reopen in autumn 2021 after a rebranding as “Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam”.

The five-star hotel is located on the central Dam Square. The city centre, the canals and sightseeing highlights such as the Royal Palace and the Anne Frank House are thus within easy walking distance. Over the next few months, some of the 402 rooms and suites as well as the gardens will be renovated. A new Anantara Spa and a fitness studio will complete the offer by the end of the year.

155 years of history in the Winter Garden

Originally opened as a small coffee house by Dutch tailor Adolph Wilhelm Krasnapolsky, the iconic building looks back on 155 years of history. This is evident in the beautiful 19th century conservatory with its glass roof and distinctive chequered floor, where the royal family has dined.

In terms of cuisine, the Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam aims to impress with its restaurant “The White Room” by three Michelin-starred chef Jacob Jan Boerma. In the “Grand Café Krasnapolsky”, guests enjoy classic dishes with the best view of the Dam and in the multi-award-winning bar “The Tailor”, unusual cocktail creations.
