Luxury on Mallorca: Castell Son Claret starts the new season

The luxury hotel Castell Son Claret on Mallorca will finally open its doors again on 26 March 2021. This year, the member of the “Leading Hotels of the World” will even stay open until the end of November – and as usual, there are some new things waiting for the guests of this very special retreat in the 2021 season.

Already last year, Castell Son Claret was enriched by four new, particularly quietly situated garden suites – two on the ground floor with access to their own garden and two on the first floor with verandas. This year, the culinary offer of the restaurant “Olivera” by chef José “Pep” Forteza will now also be expanded from the end of April by the new “Sa Clastra” by the young top chef Jordi Cantó in the historic courtyard of the hotel.

Classical concerts in the castle

The well-known “Castell Classics” will remain a fixture: In summer 2021, guests can look forward to the Teatro Maggio Fiorentino, the annual visit to the Salzburg Festival and an exclusive concert with artists from the Hamburg State Opera. The cooperation with the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands under the direction of Pablo Mielgo, which started in autumn 2020, will be continued.

Castell Son Claret is located at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains on a 132-hectare estate – just 30 minutes from Palma. Christine and Klaus-Michael Kühne extensively renovated the castle in 2013. The mere 41 rooms and suites have either terraces, a garden or a pool. Rates start at EUR 345 to 470 per room per night including breakfast, taxes and fees, depending on the season, but on some dates they can be significantly higher.
