Like more than 120 years ago: Hotel Sacher Vienna invites you to the “Sacher Séparée”

In the 19th century, the Hotel Sacher in Vienna was known for its exclusive “Sacher Séparées”. The legendary hotelier Anna Sacher made undisturbed privacy socially acceptable – and the Habsburgs went in and out of the legendary séparées as well as international politicians, artists and famous personalities. Now the luxury hotel is picking up on this tradition in a new way.

Of course, the secretive rooms of yesteryear no longer exist. With the reopening after the Corona break, however, the Sacher introduced a new idea: selected rooms and suites are simply transformed into elegant pop-up restaurants for a short time as “Sacher Séparées”. This gives Vienna and Vienna visitors the rare opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of this hotel without an overnight stay.

The Séparée can accommodate up to four guests (plus two children) for three hours for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Which suite serves as a mini-restaurant remains a surprise until you check in. But it could well be the “Vienna Philharmonic Suite” with an opera view, the recently renovated “Madame Butterfly Suite” on the second floor or one of the signature suites with a terrace.

A butler serves Sacher classics from chef Markus Krenn – including goose liver mousse, boiled beef or a piece of the original Sacher cake. The “Sacher Séparées” will initially be offered until the end of June. Reservations can be made at + 43/1 / 51456-1555 or reservierung.wien@sacher.com. The menus can be found here. For breakfast, the Sacher requires a minimum consumption of EUR 45 per person, at noon and in the evening it is EUR 75 per person.
