JW Marriott Tampa Water Street opens as JW Marriott’s 100th hotel

It doesn’t always have to be Miami. The west coast of Florida is also perfect for a varied holiday and also offers the much more beautiful beaches. With the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street, the world’s 100th hotel of the JW Marriott brand has just welcomed its first guests – almost 37 years after the opening of the first JW Marriott in Washington DC.

Located in the heart of Tampa’s vibrant waterfront, the new hotel is connected to the neighbouring Tampa Marriott Water Street across the street by a glass “sky bridge” on the third floor. The 519 rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows and luxurious bathrooms with marble vanities and rain showers.

The highlight is the more than 200 square metre “Presidential Suite”: A fantastic view of the city opens up from the wet bar on the terrace. The 110-square-metre “JW Suites” also offer a 270-degree view of Tampa, while in the “Stay Well Premier Rooms” on the 16th floor, a shower enriched with vitamin C and a special air purification system are designed to ensure well-being.

The JW Marriott Tampa Water Street also includes a resort-style pool with cabanas on the sixth floor, a “Spa by JW” with a lounge, ten treatment suites and a plunge pool, as well as two restaurants serving local cuisine – one with an outdoor poolside area. The newly designed sports bar “Garrison Tavern” and the upscale restaurant “Anchor & Brine” at the Tampa Marriott Water Street complete the gastronomic offer.
