COMO Cocoa Island is newly renovated: 34 villas and a spa in the Maldives

After a comprehensive renovation, the COMO Cocoa Island has been welcoming guests in the South Male Atoll of the Maldives since January this year. The 34 overwater villas, some of which have their own pool, have all been redesigned in a contemporary design. Only natural materials such as kayan roofs, Maldivian coral walls and wood were used.

A good third of the island is accounted for by the “COMO Shambhala Spa Retreat”, in which there are also two rooms for couples. The large hydrotherapy pool is used for special treatments – for example mobilizing massages for the joints and therapies after injuries. An open yoga pavilion with a 360-degree view is brand new. The gym has also been given new equipment.

With the light “COMO Shambhala Cuisine”, guests of COMO Cocoa Island can enjoy vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and nutrient-rich wellness diets on request. Alternatively, local seafood and Mediterranean, Indian and Maldivian dishes are served in the “Ufaa” restaurant. Wellness juices, infusions and teas are also available in the villas.

The PADI certified diving center organizes dives at one of the best dive sites in the world. Reef diving, wreck diving, UV night snorkeling and whale shark expeditions are available. Water sports such as kayaking, paddling and snorkeling are free. The COMO Cocoa Island can be reached from the international airport in Male in around 40 minutes by speedboat.
