The British Airways Executive Club has announced changes to the status criteria. Here, however, the topic is dealt with much more cautiously than many competitors. Status hurdles are reduced by 30 percent, requiring 210 instead of 300 tier points for bronze, 420 instead of 600 tier points for silver and 1,050 instead of 1,500 tier points for gold.
The catch, however, is that these reduced criteria only apply to members whose status year expires in April, May or June. Of course, other members are no less affected by the situation and it may well be that the regulation will be expanded later.
