The Asian lifestyle hotel group Avani has announced seven new hotels and resorts by the end of 2021. The brand is coming to Oman, the Maldives and Kenya for the first time. The Avani + Koh Lanta Resort in Thailand and the Avani Palm View Residences & Suites in Dubai will receive their first guests at the end of this year. Five more new openings are to follow in 2021. We briefly present the projects:

Thailand (Q4 2020): With direct access to white sandy beaches bordering the famous Klong Dao beach, the Avani + Koh Lanta Krabi Resort on Koh Lanta promises perfect relaxation amid tropical nature – around 70 kilometers from Krabi International Airport. 87 rooms and villas are planned, many of which have a private pool.

Vietnam (Q1 2021): The 273 rooms and villas of the new Avani Doc Let Resort on the central coast of Vietnam not only offer direct access to the beach, but also to the nearby Doc Let Water Park and are therefore an ideal destination for families. The resort’s facilities also include a pool, a beach club and a spa. Cam Ranh International Airport is around 90 minutes away by car.

Oman (Q1 2021): The Avani Muscat Hotel will be the group’s first hotel in Oman. With its location in the up-and-coming Seeb district in the west of the capital, Muscat, it is especially recommended for a shopping break: a bridge connects it directly to the Al Araimi Boulevard Mall, which opened in 2018 – and the district’s traditional souq is not far away either. 161 rooms, 90 serviced apartments, a restaurant with international and local cuisine, a rooftop lounge, a pool and a spa are planned.

Kenya (2021): The Avani Nairobi Residences is located in the heart of the Westlands of Nairobi and therefore in close proximity to the offices of many multinational companies. But there are also numerous restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities in the area. The hotel consists of 120 suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and one to three bedrooms. The facilities also include an indoor pool on the top floor, a rooftop bar, an international restaurant and a fitness center.

Maldives (end of 2021): The first Avani resort in the Maldives will open on Fares Island in Baa Atoll at the end of 2021. 200 rooms and villas with state-of-the-art technology, a spa, a pool with a bar and an open lobby that serves as a reception, lounge and social meeting point with various restaurants await the guests. Avani + Fares Maldives Resort can be reached from Male airport in around 45 minutes by seaplane.

Thailand (end of 2021): At the end of 2021, the Avani + Khao Lak Resort will receive its first guests on an unspoilt stretch of the Khao Lak coast – with an unobstructed view of the Andaman Sea and surrounded by rainforests, jungles and waterfalls. In addition to 250 rooms and suites, 78 villas with one or two bedrooms are also planned. A restaurant, a bar, an outdoor pool, a bowling center and a spa complete the facilities. Phuket Airport is around an hour away.

In addition to these new hotels and resorts, there are four other projects in the pipeline: With the Avani Saigon Hotel (217 rooms) and the Avani Cam Ranh Resort (595 rooms), two new locations are to open in Vietnam in 2022. The start of the Avani Kota Kinabalu Hotel in Borneo (378 rooms) is also planned for 2022. The Avani Yangon Hotel in Myanmar with 250 rooms will follow in 2024.
