Antasia Beach Club: The new beach hotspot of Thanos Hotels in Cyprus

Just a stone’s throw away, the new Antasia Beach Club awaits guests of Thanos’ Almyra and Annabelle hotels directly on the sandy beach of Kato Paphos from June 2021. The groundbreaking design of the minimalist construction made of stone and glass comes from the Cypriot architecture firm Psomas and is intended above all to showcase the unique view of the sky and the sea.

Guests will be able to stop here for a relaxing coffee in the morning and later for lunch. For the afternoons, cosy rustic day beds are ready on the sand. Finally, when the sun dips into the sea in the evening, the Antasia Beach Club invites you to a stylish dinner and exciting cocktail creations, while hip DJs encourage you to dance under the stars.

The lounge and dining areas are spread over two floors. A floating, spiral staircase leads to a roof terrace with a view of Paphos Castle. Baranowitz + Kronenberg – known for their design in the W Hotels Ibiza, Amsterdam and Prague – are responsible for the interior with custom-made furniture from local manufacturers.

Sushi and shrimp burger

The menu at Antasia Beach Club combines regional ingredients with influences from Asian cuisine. Under the aegis of top chef David Goodridge, Hungarian chef Akos Richweisz creates exotic specialities ranging from a spicy Nam Prik dip with cashew nuts to freshly rolled maki, sushi and sashimi to a shrimp burger with papaya and mango. Vegan dishes round off the menu.

Thanos Hotels & Resorts is Cyprus’ leading luxury hotel group. The three properties – the legendary Anassa, the elegant Almyra and the classic Annabelle – are still owned by the family. With the Aloe, a fourth hotel was recently added to the portfolio. The managing director is Thanos Michaelides – the son of the late Alecos Michaelides, who laid the foundation for the company 40 years ago.
